Why Manly West?
Manly West is “bayside suburb” located to the east of the Brisbane CBD. Many years ago, Manly West was considered a lower socio economic area however over time with rising house prices closer to the Brisbane CBD it has meant more people have moved out to the bayside and have been renovating homes and building new. Consequently the area is gentrifying and will continue to. The biggest drawcards for this area is the coastline/ocean, close proximity to the Port of Brisbane, Domestic / International Airports and Gateway Motorway which connects to the Gold & Sunshine Coasts.
Demographics
Approximately 47% of the residents are families and a balance of 51% are either singles or couples. The majority of houses would be expected to be occupied by families in this area. There are approximately 3,425 houses and 839 units/townhouses in this area.
Health, Education and Schooling
As far as schooling goes the area falls into the Wynnum West State School and Brisbane Bayside College Catchments. There is a train line which runs through the suburb so most houses are within a 5-10 minute drive from a train station which connects into the Brisbane CBD.
