We engaged PMC in July 2017 to provide their buyer’s advocacy service. After shortlisting many houses, PMC went to one (extremely popular) auction for us (where we unfortunately didn’t win) and then represented us in a “best and finals by 2pm” situation where we were the winning bid by just $3k! Our offer was accepted in the first half of September and we had moved in to our property by November. Will, Laura and the rest of the PMC team’s professionalism and level of service is truly top class. They always made themselves available – quite often after hours – to address any request we had. Knowing that we could draw on Will’s experience to accurately estimate the selling price of potential homes was very reassuring. It stopped us overpaying on at least one occasion. PMC requires that final payment for the services is made before settlement. The price was in my opinion a little on the high side for the service offered. It appears to be priced on value provided (especially in the 2017 Sydney market) and not necessarily hours spent. Having said that, the price is certainly competitive and in line with other property buyers in Sydney we spoke to. If you aren’t physically located in Sydney however (as we were), the buyer’s advocacy service would be worth its weight in gold. With the knowledge I gained from working with Will and Laura I feel that if I were to buy another property in Sydney I could probably have a go at it myself and engage a valuer when I needed to have some confidence that I was paying the correct price. Perhaps the biggest benefit for us in engaging PMC was allowing us to get over our frustration and constructively engage in a property market that was extremely discouraging for buyers looking for a family home in the northern beaches of Sydney. Providing 5 stars for great service, competitive pricing and an all out good result.
