Valentine NSW 2280

Why Valentine?

Valentine covers a significant area on the edge of the eastern shore of Lake Macquarie. It is divided geographically and aesthetically by the arterial road around the lake. The side which borders the lake, known as ‘Old Valentine’, has a village atmosphere, characterised by large dwellings built high to capitalise on water views, with significant outdoor leisure space along the water’s edge. The eastern side is newer, with large modern brick dwellings in expanding new developments. 90% of the dwellings in Valentine are free standing homes, with some townhouse developments.

The area is very quiet, yet just a short distance from the commercial areas of Belmont and Charlestown. The foreshore parks, cafes and shops of Warners Bay and Speers Point are a few minutes’ drive away.

Demographics

Population is predominantly families, with a higher than average number of over 55s attracted to the leisure lifestyle. Home owner ratio is high, with around 10% renters. Household income is above average.
