Why Redcliffe?

The Redcliffe peninsula began life as one of the earliest settlement in the greater Brisbane area. Consequently there is an abundance of historical buildings which still stand today. The area has a wide mix of pre and post war houses as well as low, medium and high rise unit developments. Redcliffe has become quite a trendy “in place,” for families and people to venture on the weekend for a bite of lunch and walk along the boardwalk. In the past the area has been classified as lower socio economic however over time people have renovated and built new homes so it’s gentrified into a really pleasant coastline location. It has a CBD, Redcliffe Hospital and a large commercial / retail sector meaning people can work locally or commute into the Brisbane CBD by road or rail.

Approximately 46% of the residents are families and a balance of 52% are either singles or couples. The majority of houses would be expected to be occupied by families in this area. There are approximately 2,441 houses and 1,525 units/townhouses in this area.

Health, Education and Schooling

As far as schooling goes the area falls into either the Redcliffe or Clontarf Beach State School. There is a train line at Kippa-Ring so most houses are within a 15 minute drive from a train station which connects into the Brisbane CBD in just under 1 hour.
