Why Woolloongabba?

Woolloongabba is a mixed suburb comprising commercial property, industrial property, high rise unit living and character housing pockets. This diverse property structure means quite a differing demographic and a number of different reasons for people choosing to live in the area. Woolloongabba also has a number of different pockets from the popular “Woolloongabba Hill” to the lower lying pockets.
Woolloongabba is approximately 3km from Brisbane CBD located just across the river to the south. It is home to the Gabba which is the Brisbane Cricket Stadium, and is also the location of the Princess Alexandra Hospital which is one of Brisbane’s largest public hospitals. Due to this and the proximity to South Bank in the neighbouring suburb, Woolloongabba is becoming a very popular lifestyle suburb. There are a number of small restaurant precincts, good access to bike paths and public transport and when complete, will be home to one of the major stations for the Cross River Rail connecting it to Brisbane via the train. Being a specialist Woolloongabba Buyers Agent, we’re very familiar with which housing pockets present better value, where zoning has changed or is likely to change, and the best areas for access to the transport nodes.
Woolloongabba has approximately 40% of the residential housing as freehold houses, the balance 60% is made up of units and townhouses.

Woolloongabba is home to approximately 30% families which reside predominantly in the housing pockets. There are approximately 50% of couples which also includes a large number of medical professionals living in houses on Woolloongabba Hill due to the proximity to the hospitals. The balance 20% is a mix of single parents and singles, and a portion of this is students living close to the local universities.
