Why Avalon?
Situated 40 kilometres North of the Sydney CBD, Avalon has a wide range of housing, from apartments, original beach shacks and family homes through to multi-million-dollar cliff top mansions. Most enjoy large block sizes and many homes situated on the hill take in either ocean or Pittwater views.

Avalon is a nature lover’s paradise with numerous options for beaches, sailing spots and bushwalks. A short 5 minute drive takes you to Clareville Beach on the stunning shores of Pittwater and in under 10 minutes you are on the golden sands of Palm Beach. Bangally Headland Trail offers incredible views and a worthwhile hike between Avalon and Whale Beach Headland.
Demographics
Avalon is home to a mix of families, retirees, young professionals and offers a strong surf-culture. Due to the distance from the CBD, many residents regularly work from home.
Avalon boasts a large community of artists, designers and other creative types, attracted by the peacefulness and easy going nature of the area.
Health, Education and Schooling
Avalon is approximately a 30-minute drive to Northern Beaches Hospital and just over a one-hour bus ride to a selection of Sydney’s Universities in the CBD.
Avalon Public School is the go to primary school for local kids, with Barrenjoey High School the natural transition. Numerous Private Schools on the North Shore offer private bus services to Avalon for students.
There is also Maria Regina Catholic Primary School and Barrenjoey Montessori School for smaller options.
