Why Allambie Heights?

Allambie Heights is located 17 Kilometres north-east of the Sydney’s CBD and located next to Manly Vale and Brookvale. Buses are the sole form of transport and easily accessible via Allambie Road and the B-line bus stop just around the corner on Pittwater Road.

Allambie Heights is vastly surrounded by Manly dam also known as Manly Warringah War Memorial Park. You can enter the reserve to the rear of the suburb, which provides bush walks, bike tracks and picnic areas surrounded by wildlife such as possums, echidnas, kangaroos and more than 80 species of bird life.

Warringah Aquatic Centre lies on the cusp of Allambie Heights, it is a 50m lap pool which is usually divided into two 25m pools. The pool is heated and accommodates school swimming carnivals, squads, learn to swim lessons, aqua aerobics, and spring diving boards. There is also an outdoor 25m swimming pool that has a small shallow splash pool for the kiddies to swim in while you watch them on the grass in the sun.

The majority of streets in the suburb have views overlooking Manly and Dee Why and are located just a short 10 minutes drive to a selection of beaches; Freshwater, Manly, Curl Curl and Queenscliff. There is a convenient row of shops located with everything that you need on Allambie Road, from cafes to bakeries, a newsagency, oriental cuisines, and a chicken shop which is a big hit amongst locals.

Virgin Frenchs Forest is the choice of gym for the Allambie Heights locals, handily located at the end of Allambie Road. It offers a wide range of fitness classes, personal training and a sauna with a swimming pool for casual swimming laps.

Demographics

The suburb is very elevated and is vastly populated with free standing houses. There is a mix of 1970’s red brick, weatherboard, cottage style homes and contemporary newly designed properties. Predominantly, the block sizes are quite large and above the average block size on the Northern Beaches which is a drawcard to the area. The suburb attracts young families that want to be close to the beach and action but set in a peaceful neighbourhood.
